Who has tested the products?
They have been tested by DEKRA in Germany.
Can they be stored at a standard warehouse?
Yes, they can, though we recommend that they be stored at a temperature of at least 16 degrees centigrade to ensure that the packaging does not become damaged.
Can it ignite spontaneously?
No. QUICKFIRE firelighters cannot ignite spontaneously. They need a flame to ignite.
Do QUICKFIRE firelighters have an expiration date?
No. QUICKFIRE firelighters last indefinitely. QUICKFIRE firelighters actually get even better over time, once the curing process is complete.
Does it emit odor when I store or light a QUICKFIRE firefighter?
No. QUICKFIRE firelighters are sealed in a transparent film and therefore does not emit any odor. You won’t get any odor on your hands either.
What is the burn-time of QUICKFIRE firelighters?
Around 8–10 minutes, depending on conditions.
Do QUICKFIRE firelighters have to be removed from the film?
No. You light the film at the corner and use the film as a wick.
What testing standard was used in regard to firelighters for barbecues?
Dekra in Germany has tested it according to DIN EN 1860-3/A1:2006.
Should the firelighter packet be completely burnt before placing food on the grill?
Yes, it should. Before placing food on the grill, make sure that the firefighter packets have burnt away completely and that the coals are covered by a layer of ash.
